Constellations Geometric Light Projection

CONSTELLATIONS Audio visual installation for public spaces, produced by Studio Joanie Lemercier.

Moon phases rotating kinect light installation

[#define Moon_ ] consists of 9 rotating kinect light installations. It presents different postures of moon shape, exerting new sense experiences. The audience is allowed to explore through various ways of looking and bring curiosity to the installation by watching from different angles. By thinking of the science spirit, once again, viewer can define and understand the concept of this work of their own.

Out of Control Sound and Light installation

Sound and light installation, Atomium - Brussels -ID#2014
The “Out of Control” installation explores the question of Singularity: the inevitable rise of the Super Machine - longed-for or feared - which, according to some theorists, should occur around 2030, i.e. in the blink of an eye.

While the emergence of the first Artificial Intelligence remains a sci-fi theme, the nature and associated risks of such technology has long been a topic of reflection for authors. As early as 1946, Murray Leinster’s novel, “A Logic Named Joe”, imagined the excesses of a hypothetical global computer network capable of attaining a pseudo-conscience.

The stronger the machine, the more worrying its malfunctioning may be. “Out of Control” deals with this issue from the inside, not from the human but from the machine’s point of view, portraying the inner conflict of a faulty artificial system which suffers an external attack, unaware of what or why this has happened.

Infinity Virtual Space Installation

Developed as a part of ongoing research into light and space, Tiles of Virtual Space is an interactive immersive installation that transforms a finite space into a vast, endless expansion using light and sound. Infinity is intended as a space for reflection and self awareness. It is founded in an idea of a technology that is not distracting us from where we are but quite the opposite. Infinity reminds us that we are here, in the present moment, and that every step taken in any direction creates new ripples of light in time, building infinite structures of light that only can be seen by looking a bit further away than our own reflection.

Accumulation Installation

Installed new artwork "Accumulation" at the main gate of Le Meridien Seoul "Accumulation" symbolizes the history from Ritz Carlton Seoul to Le Meridien Seoul. The LED light tunnel expresses the accumulation of time. The composition of the frames concretes continuity and shows the locational context. "Accumulation" has six sequences and each movie has the original theme like "Rise", "Flow", Accumulation", "Dimension", "Light" and "Overlap".

Passage interactive installation

Passage is an immersive, minimalist, contemplative and interactive artwork that explores the emotional connections between light and sound. The concept takes root in the definition of the word passage itself: the act of moving through or past something on the way from one place to another, and also the process of transition from one state to another in a temporal dimension. The artwork is directly inspired by readings done on Near Death Experience (NDE).

Fluxion sound and light installation

Fluxion made of circles, squares, and lights is represented by a combination of songs made of Sine waves and very short cut audio signals. The broken tiny sounds that emerge from Wagner's Siegfried Idyll, the first song, move the Fluxion's lights, which show the circular stars floating in space and twinkle. Fluxion, 2015, Sound and Light Installation | Live performance

Ascent light sculpture

Using nature as a basis for aesthetic, Ascent is an interactive installation that both blurs and highlights its surroundings. A mesmerising sight of smooth lines and soft light, the sculpture creates a harmonious relationship between human aesthetic and natural landscape. Intimately connecting it to its site, Nocte’s abstract reinterpretation of the mountainous backdrop was the visual focus of The North Face NightRay Fest. In collaboration with Octagon, we were able to connect with likeminded individuals. Attendees tweeting #neverstopexploring were invited to interact with and influence the behaviour of the geometric visual.

Crystal Universe through accumulated light points

This artwork uses accumulated light points to create a sculptural body, similar to the way distinct dots of color form an image in a pointillist painting. In Crystal Universe, the particles of light are digitally controlled, and change based on the viewer’s interactivity with the work. The result is an installation consisting of an accumulation of lights, forming a sculpture that expresses the universe. Viewers are invited to enter and walk around within the three-dimensional light space. This movement affects the light particles and creates changes in the installation. Viewers can also interact with the work by using their smartphones to select elements that make up the Crystal Universe. While Crystal Universe is created by elements selected by the viewers, each action or change affects the other. The viewer's position within the artwork also influences how the work is created; thus, the artwork is continuously changing. http://thecreatorsproject.vice.com/blog/inside-teamlab-stunning-crystal-universe-installation?utm_source=tcptwitterus
